Matt {+} Kayla | Oklahoma City Wedding Video | Milam Castle

Matt & Kayla Patten were married on March 24, 2018 at Milam Castle in Oklahoma City, OK.

Matt and Kayla knew each other in high school, but Kayla HATED Matt then! Fast forward several years, Kayla was out at a bar with her friend Makayla. This comes around to everyone shaking hands saying "Hi, my names Tyler." Well, it was Matt! Kayla looked him right in the eye and said, "No, you are Matt Patten, and you sister is Megan Patten." He looked at her like he was BUSTED! From that day, he tried for several weeks to contact Kayla. Facebook, texting, everything. Kayla just kept blowing him off. She ignored him, made lame excuses, nothing worked! Pretty soon his persistence paid off, she finally agreed to meet up and have dinner and go to the gun range.

From their first date, Matt and Kayla have been inseparable. Kayla fell for Matt because he's so caring and loving. "He's truly my best friend, and I couldn't imagine life without him. He compliments me in so many ways. He also is the greatest cook in the world!"

Kayla's best friend, Taylor, is a photographer. Taylor reached out to Kayla and asked to take some pictures of her and Matt to promote her Christmas mini-sessions for 2016. Taylor had a campfire theme all planned out. Kayla tells Matt about it, and he's game! In a few weeks, Kayla rushes home to get ready for pictures, and they are running behind. When they arrive where the photos are being taken, Taylor is running behind too (she's actually trying to stall so her mom can video the moment!). Once the shoot finally starts, she poses Matt and Kayla a couple times, then to Kayla's surprise, Matt is down on one knee!

When it came time to plan her wedding day, Kayla wanted simple elegance. She chose hints of navy and slate grey with all white flowers. She wanted her day to reflect feelings of fun, excitement, happy tears, and be classy and beautiful.

Her advice to other brides was "Remember it is about 2 people becoming 1. No matter how stressful the planning process gets, always remember who you are doing this for."

Davis {+} Emily | Oklahoma City Wedding Video | Gaillardia Country Club

McDaniel - Feature (VIMEO) from Slow Fade Media and Weddings on Vimeo.

Davis & Emily McDaniel were married on September 30, 2017 at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, OK.

Davis and Emily met while they were students at the University of Oklahoma. They were on the same study abroad trip in Rome when they connected. Emily says "We hadn't gotten to know each other at OU, but we were part of a small group that became really close friends. This eventually led to a relationship after we got back to Norman."

Davis and Emily now live in New York City, and they have always talked about how to get into Manhattan's only private park, Gramercy Park. Davis managed to find a way in, and took Emily there. While they were there, he got down on one knee and proposed to Emily! Afterwards, he surprised her with a rooftop engagement party with their families and friends prepared to celebrate their big news!

During our meetings leading up to the big day, Emily talked about Gaillardia being really special to her. Her family spent a lot of time there growing up, so she instantly knew where she wanted her wedding to take place. She chose simple, elegant tones of charcoal and champagne to compliment the building's natural beauty. Then she added in colorful flowers to some fun!

Mark {+} Kristy | Norman Wedding Video | Thunderbird Chapel

Mark and Kristy Hampton were married on October 7, 2017 at Thunderbird Chapel in Norman, OK.

Mark and Kristy met online. Kristy had only been on the dating site a couple of weeks when she was matched with Mark. She remembers thinking how handsome she thought he was from his photos. When they met in person for the first time, she says "oh man, he was even more handsome in person!" They met and talked for hours. They didn't keep anything from each other, and felt connected immediately.

On their second date, they went to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, OK. As Mark and Kristy spent the day hiking and getting to know each other better, Mark knew that Kristy would be in his life for a long time.

Mark and Kristy connected over their love for travel, their caring hearts and their commitment to each other.

Mark asked Kristy to go to the Metro for their 3 year anniversary, and recreated their first date! Mark went to the restroom, and when he came back, he surprised Kristy with a proposal!

See more of their love story here:

When thinking about their wedding day, Kristy envisioned a simple, elegant and cozy wedding that honored God. She chose elegant eggplant, lavendar and grey hues to bring her vision to life.

Kristy's advice to other brides is "Don't sweat the small stuff. Do the things that make you and your fiancee happy!"

Mat {+} Kelsi | Tulsa Wedding Video | Vesica Piscis Chapel

Owen - Highlight from Slow Fade Media and Weddings on Vimeo.

Mat and Kelsi Owen were married on October 28, 2017 at Vesica Piscis Chapel in Catoosa, OK.

Kelsi and Mat met during nursing school. They had a lot of their prerequisite classes together. "We passed our classes together and began nursing school together." While they were in nursing school, they experienced some of the hardest times they had ever been through. So many emotions and situations made them lean on each other. Kelsi says "I think we fell in love while seeing each other progress and grow, and helping each other progress and grow."

Kelsi and Mat's favorite meal is breakfast, so Mat took Kelsi to a new breakfast place in OKC, Hatch, on her birthday. He had planned a secret photographer to capture their proposal!

When thinking about their wedding day, Kelsi and Mat envisioned a big party with all their family and friends. Kelsi wanted a rustic theme, and used Navy, Ivory, Burlap and Burgundy.

Kelsi's advice to other brides is "Be prepared to make most of the decisions. Men really don't care that much about the planning, even if you think they do."
